Stabil-Loc,Inc. has identified 2 critical keys to long term reliability of a method of lifting, leveling, and stabilizing the foundation of any structure.
|
1) You MUST concentrically load the pier, i.e. the pier must be installed directly under the center of the wall being lifted; not attached the outer edge of the footing with some type of "bracket" that will break loose later due to off-set load factor, thereby requiring additional work.
2) You MUST drive the pier all the way to "Bedrock or Stable Strata", even if you have to go 30 feet or more to accomplish this. **ANY SYSTEM THAT CANNOT MEET THESE 2 CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS SHOULD BE DISMISSED AS A "TEMPORARY FIX", DESTINED TO NEED FURTHER FOUNDATION REPAIR WORK IN THE FUTURE. |
If you can meet these requirements, and document it with an Independent Engineer's Project Report, as the Stabil-Loc Foundation Piering System does, then you have achieved a permanent solution to your foundation settlement problems that can be passed from one homeowner to the next, and one generation to the next!
